Graphic Design Intern
Do you feel just as passionately about addressing the undue influence of money in US politics as you do about beautifully designed content? Represent.Us is seeking qualified candidates for a Graphic Design Internship in our Northampton, MA office. The Graphic Design Intern will play a direct role in the day-to-day work of the creative team for our national campaign by crafting compelling, on-brand visuals for the web, social media, and print.
The ideal candidate will be creative, hard working, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We welcome interns eager to learn real world skills in a professional setting while fighting against corruption.
This internship will teach you to apply a variety of skills in a fast-paced setting. Don’t have experience with everything on this list? Don’t panic — We’ll teach you!
This position will entail:
- Designing graphics for social media, websites, and other needs.
- Processing and color correcting images for their correct end use.
- Repurposing and updating materials for current use.
- Distilling complex ideas into simple concepts; short copywriting.
- Creating work consistent with established brand and style guides.
- Working independently on tasks, but also collaborating and responding to criticism with a small team.
- Research into news stories and/or elections data for our weekly content pipeline.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, is required. Skill with layout and typography, social media, basic HTML/CSS, video editing (Premiere or After Effects), and copywriting are preferred.

- Technologically proficient
- Able to demonstrate strong writing and verbal communication skills
- The internship will run June 4 – August 24, 2018.

We’re committed to making sure your internship is educational, challenging, and informative, and we’re happy to coordinate with your college or university so you can receive academic credit for your work. Interns are paid at an hourly rate.
At this time, all intern work is performed out of either our Northampton, MA office (in the “Five Colleges” area) or our San Francisco, CA satellite office (accessible via BART at Montgomery).
