Marianne Drysdale

Policy & Political Assistant

Marianne got her start in politics through an internship at Mobilize political events platform. Helping to grow Mobilize in the organization’s first year, she developed an enthusiasm for building political movements and organizations. Her passion for politics became a broader interest in democracy and corruption after a summer research fellowship in New Delhi, India, and a semester studying political philosophy in Cape Town, South Africa. Returning to the United States with a deepened interest in government, Marianne joined Organizing Corps 2020 which landed her a job as a field organizer on the 2020 general election, and in operations on the Georgia Senate Runoffs. Marianne joined the RepresentUs team in the spring of 2021, and is excited to get to work protecting American democracy.

Marianne holds a B.A. in Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Michigan. She is currently based in Washington D.C., where she can be found experimenting in the kitchen to varying degrees of success, going on long runs, and chatting with strangers at the farmers’ market.
