Why this is such a big deal

Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) has been hugely popular everywhere it’s been adopted.

It’s a simple tweak to our election system that has tremendous benefits:

  • Gives voters more voice and more choice
  • Results in majority, consensus winners
  • Eliminates spoiler candidates and voting for the “lesser of two evils.”
  • Promotes cleaner campaigns with less mud-slinging since candidates have to appeal to ALL voters
  • Creates better representation for our communities with more diverse candidates from new and different backgrounds across the political spectrum

Your donation will help fund:

  • Volunteer recruitment & training
  • Volunteer leadership trainings
  • Direct voter contact
  • Printing & distribution of educational materials
  • Community RCV events
  • Support for our in-state partners

Your gift can help give the 4 million Oregonians a greater say in their elections and lay the foundation for positive election reform nationwide.

Can you chip in?

This November, voters in Oregon will vote on Ballot Measure 117 to enact Ranked Choice Voting statewide. There is huge momentum and optimism around this campaign, but special interest groups who benefit from the status quo are trying to build opposition. Now’s our chance to make a massive impact on the future of our country and support the organizers on the ground.

Start with Oregon, finish with America

We know Congress won’t fix our broken political system on its own. Change has to happen at the city and state levels first, to create a national movement that can affect policy at the federal level.

It’s a strategy that the most successful movements—women’s suffrage, marriage equality, interracial marriage—have followed.

A pro-voter victory in Oregon this November makes nationwide change that much more likely.

Voters in Maine and Alaska and in dozens of cities around the country are already using RCV to great success and seeing positive results.

Oregon could be next. Will you help keep the momentum going?
