Tempe is part of the biggest wave of anti-corruption reform in US history.

Proposition Number 403:
Dark Money Disclosure

The Keep Dark Money Out of Local Tempe Elections Ordinance requires that individuals and organizations disclose any independent spending valued at more than $1,000 that is intended to influence Tempe elections. This was designed to foster greater transparency and prevent untraceable election spending known as “dark money.”

Threatened by the power of the anti-corruption movement, the legislature passed a bill intended to override the Tempe win. The chapter is ready to defend the win from these attacks.
