Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) and open primaries are taking off. Voters from all political backgrounds love it because it takes power away from politicians and gives it back to voters.

But guess who doesn’t love RCV and open primaries: corrupt party officials. They’re afraid of losing their grip on power and having to actually be responsive to voters to get re-elected. Dark money groups are pushing back as well. They know if voters can break their dependence on parties, they’ll lose their influence too.
