What brought you to the movement?

Starting a team off on the right track

Lindsay put together a well-functioning and industrious team in just a matter of weeks. She has delegated coordinator roles for each of her committee members, based on each individual’s interests and skill set. To get started, Lindsay recommends phone banking folks who had already expressed interest in getting involved with RepresentUs in the past. She stresses that double dialing is a must; “people are way more likely to pick up calls from my out-of-state area code if they see I’m calling a second time. They think it’s important, which it is!” Lindsay also informally approached her co-workers and friends about her involvement with the campaign, and generated more interest and follow-up through her personal network.
